The greatest fun on earth

By

Our civilization is now at a point where it can progress only through a merging of Western and Eastern knowledge. Therefore the teachers who can best serve humanity are those who are comfortable in navigating the seas of science (mainly Western) and the mists of mysticism (mainly Eastern).

Witness the huge success of someone like Deepak Chopra, ethnically Indian and at home in the holistic Ayurvedic health system, and at the same time trained in conventional biomedicine in the U.S. (and, may I add, a smart practitioner of American commercial packaging and marketing savvy).
In the reverse position, and working more quietly as of now, is a young French doctor by the name of Samuel Sagan, who steeped himself from a very tender age in Eastern meditation practices and studied Sanskrit.

After completing his medical degree in Paris he studied acupuncture, and wrote his doctoral dissertation on the chakras and subtle bodies in the Hindu tradition. He is also a Master of Sacred Science and a Doctor of Divinity in the International Gnostic Church.

I was privileged to meet Dr. Sagan and listen to all three of his public lectures when he came to Manila last year. His deep understanding of the many dimensions of reality marks him as one of those gifted individuals sent to accelerate the evolution of the human race.

Enlightenment is fun
It was only after his first lecture at Rockwell Center that I found out Dr. Sagan had written many remarkable books aimed at helping “ungifted” practical individuals like you and me connect with higher realities through spiritual self- development. He also founded the Clairvision School in Sydney (website: http://clairvision.org) which offers courses in the field of consciousness and the mysteries of human nature.

But don’t be turned off by the seeming heaviness of the topic. Samuel Sagan is the first to insist that “striving toward spiritual enlightenment.., is the greatest fun one can have on earth.”

The most enlightened masters he has met, he says, were men and women who laughed a lot. (Hmmm.. .that brings to mind the twinkle-eyed Dalai Lama, right? Can you imagine how our culture would change if we Christians propagated more the image of the laughing rather than the suffering Christ?)

A good entry point to Dr. Sagan’s work is Awakening the Third Eye. (The bookstores I called said they were out of stock, but I understand from the supplier that stocks will be replenished soon. In the meantime, one can order by texting Clairvision at 0920-851-9717.)

Abundantly demonstrating his integral use of Western esoteric knowledge and Chinese medicine and Hindu yoga, it is a hands-on primer on energy awareness, the most reader-friendly that I have come across.
